Your Job Profile as a BMC Control-M Admin

As a BMC Control M Admin, you will be required to perform highly complex (senior-level) Control-M administration and scheduling computer systems analysis work. You have to maintain and run the Control-M and Control-M Enterprise Manager software that supports the automated batch scheduling for the CPA Datacenter. This includes installing, upgrading, configuring, maintaining and controlling the Information Assurance (IA) posture of the Control M infrastructure.


Duties and Tasks of Your Particular Role

  • Control-M administration experience as for complex infrastructure and environment.

  • Ability to schedule jobs, monitor and correct the issues related to backups,

    applications, file transfers, etc. all Control-M run control calendars to ensure run date accuracy.

  • Handled various activities as part of the Control-M upgrade.

  • Strong experience with BMC Control-M v 6.3/6.4/7/8/9/9.0.19/9.20/9.21

  • Experience in Managing Project Deliverables, Reports Management & Infrastructure setup.

  • Control-M administration, Control-M upgrade, agent upgrade , High Availability , Disaster recovery , advanced scheduling, troubleshooting of Control-M administration and scheduling issues.

  • Effectively coordinated Knowledge Transition from clients to offshore support and also met the expectations of clients at the same time.

  • Responsible for assisting the team in meeting the deliverables.

  • Control M AAPI administration.

  • Control M agent installation, upgradation and application plugin installation.

  • Automation of reports with scripting language like, shell, HTML and python.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software development, engineering, or a related technical field B. Tech/B.E. in Any Specialization

Location

  • Mumbai (Work from office) / Chennai (Work from office)

You must have

  • Experience in control M reporting facility.

  • Installation of agents/plugins, configuration, and Monitoring of BMC Control-M Workload automation.

  • Proficiency in job scheduling and monitoring, development, Test and production environment in control-M. Use of calendar for critical scheduling scenarios.

  • Developed shell scripts & use in workflows pre-checks & post-checks jobs.

  • Customer requests and take appropriate action to add, delete, or modify production, test, system, user and application.

  • Handled Priority issues related to Control-M. Document technical solutions and build SOPs for the monitoring team.

  • Knowledge on Linux, Unix and Windows environment is mandatory.

  • Should have Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; helps contribute to timely completion of project deliverables well short of schedule.

  • Analytical skill to understand user requirements, procedures. and problems to automate processing or to improve existing job flows and schedules systems.

  • Knowledge on ServiceNow ITSM tool Basic understanding of scripting and batch knowledge.

  • Fair knowledge of Windows, Linux & Mainframe operating systems.

  • Mainframe Z/0S basic knowledge will be more preferable Good foundation of networking concepts.

  • Very good communication & coordination skills Very good analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities Self-driven, committed, process Oriented and able to handle challenging situations.

  • Open to take-up additional responsibilities as and when needed.
