Your Job Profile as a Data Governance with Purview

Data governance specialists are responsible for ensuring that data is used and stored appropriately within an organization. They commonly work with a variety of different departments, including marketing, sales, IT, etc., to ensure that everyone is using the same definitions, standards, and processes when it comes to data management.

Data governance specialists may also be tasked with developing new policies or procedures related to data use in their organization. This might include anything from creating guidelines for how data should be handled to implementing software systems that help monitor and track data usage across the company.

Duties and Tasks of Your Particular Role

Gather, organize, and document metadata and data-related information, ensuring efficient data discovery and governance processes.
Configure and implement a Catalog on Microsoft purview. Perform Scan, Search, Update, and other features with system components, evolving it for required user experience and performance.
Design and implement APIs that are fast and flexible.
Work with solution architecture and developer team to build a core product experience that enables users to create, collaborate and monitor highly curated data from underlying sources.
Work with solution architecture team to establish alignment with existing models and standards on a cloud platform.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software development, engineering, or a related technical field.

Location

Gurgaon (Work from Office/ Hybrid mode)

You must have

Experience in Purview - Minimum 2 end to end cycles
5+ years working in Data Governance
Knowledge of industry leading data quality and data protection management practices
Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection
Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues
Highly developed skills in priority setting and alignment of project priorities with Departmental strategy
Ability to break down complex problems and projects into manageable goals
Highest personal and professional integrity and strong work ethics
Results orientation, willingness to commit to a direction and drive operations to completion
Demonstrated ability to manage adversity and challenging situations.
Ability to manage senior relationships across all the Business and Functional areas
Collaborative team player orientation towards work relationships, strong culture awareness
